Candid B Lotion

Common use

Candid-B Lotion is primarily used to manage fungal skin infections where inflammation is a prominent symptom. It's a combination medicine, falling into the categories of antifungal and corticosteroid medications. Besides its main use, this lotion also effectively manages conditions such as ringworm of the body (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), and candidiasis. These are all types of fungal infections that can cause discomfort and skin irritation.

Dosage and direction

Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before applying the lotion. Apply a thin layer of the lotion on the affected areas twice daily - once in the morning and once in the evening. Gently massage until the lotion is fully absorbed. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. After application, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly.

Drug interaction

Cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors: Medicines like ketoconazole may interact with Candid-B Lotion due to the presence of beclomethasone, potentially increasing the risk of systemic corticosteroid effects such as Cushing's syndrome.
Oral anticoagulants, sulfonylureas and cyclosporine: These medications may have their effects enhanced when used alongside Candid-B Lotion due to the clotrimazole component.

Missed dose

In case you forget to apply Candid-B Lotion at the scheduled time, apply it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next application, just skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Never change your dosage without discussing it with your doctor.

Overdose

If you accidentally apply more Candid-B Lotion than advised, you might experience symptoms like skin irritation or a burning sensation. In case of such events, there's no need for alarm. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, do inform your doctor.

Storage

Store your Candid-B Lotion at room temperature, below 25°C. Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its efficacy. Ensure it's kept out of children's reach for safety.
